A Message to Our Customers

Dear Customer,

You might already know that a definitive agreement was signed regarding Dassault Systèmes (3DS) acquiring CST. The transaction was completed on 30 September, 2016. We would like to give you more detailed information on the reasons for this merger and on CST's plans for the future.

First, a bit of history: CST started a strategic partnership with the SIMULIA brand of Dassault Systèmes more than one year ago. We started this partnership in order to better deal with the simulation trends which have become more and more visible in recent years: increased customer requirements for multi-physics capabilities and efficient solutions covering the entire design flow. With 3DS/SIMULIA, CST has found a partner which has a very strong offering and product lines including CAD, PLM, and various simulation technologies, all to be combined in an innovative platform - 3DEXPERIENCE.

This partnership has led to a closer relationship between the two companies, along with a confirmation that 3DS and CST have similar cultures – a focus on delivering leading technology, robust solutions, and strong technical support to best ensure our customers’ own success. It became clear that joining forces was the natural next step.

CST is joining a market leader with a track record of successful acquisitions, which has built its success on working together with customers and constant innovation in the marketplace. While providing important continuity for our customers, becoming part of Dassault Systèmes opens up the potential to develop next-generation solutions to meet ever-increasing simulation requirements. 3DS will continue to develop and invest in the CST products, and customers can expect a continued commitment to support them. The support for CST products will continue to be delivered by our global support team worldwide.

Please be assured that there will be continuity in the present CST product portfolio, technical support, training services, and, last but not least, the client relationships that have been developed over many years.
